Born in 1967 in Amsterdam, Tim Groen attended the Gerrit Rietveld Academy of the Arts.

Groen’s fine art is mostly abstract and frequently incorporates vintage wallpaper. His collages on canvas, custom-made wood panels and paper allow him to explore people and moods that inspire him. These explorations range from Burt Bacharach and Le Corbusier to Tabitha Getty - vintage kimonos and Los Angeles mini-malls to typography. Groen’s work has been included in the archives of the Drawing Center in Manhattan as well as several group shows in Chelsea. In addition he has created art installations for Barneys in both New York and Beverly Hills.

Voltz Clarke and Groen are also collaborating with an exhibition at Citibabes.
